18 November 2016 – Deputy Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Barbara Devis, Politico-Military Officer of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Bernhard Frankl, Deputy Political Counselor at the U.S. Mission to the OSCE in Vienna Jay Truesdale paid a study visit to the Police Educational Complex.

Accompanied by Colonel T. Yesayan, Deputy Head of the RoA Police Educational Complex, the visitors had a tour in the Educational Complex, got acquainted with the organizational structure of the Educational Complex, educational programs and training courses for police officers. The guests were also in the state-of-the-art gym, specialized computer room for entrance exams and other specialized rooms, which have been furnished and equipped thanks to the financial support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.

The guests had a meeting with Lieutenant-General Hovh. Varyan, Head of the RoA Police Educational Complex. During the meeting, issues related to gender equality, correlation between percentage of male and female applicants, efforts made for eliminating corruption risks during entrance exams were discussed.

Upon the end of the meeting, Mr. Varyan expressed his gratitude to the OSCE Office in Yerevan for standing by the Educational Complex for many years and assisting the ongoing reforms.
