March 27 - The current event devoted to the 100^th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Police Educational Complex. A documentary film "Armenian Genocide" of <<Emmy>> award winner Andrew Goldberg, famous American film director, was shown to the officers and students.

This film shot in the United States, Belgium, France, Germany, Turkey and Syria studies the genocide committed against Armenians carried out during the First World War in the Ottoman Empire.

In the film are introduced the interviews with leading experts such as Samantha Power, Pulitzer Prize-winner, the United States Ambassador to the UN and Peter Balakyan, winner of the Armenian-American writer and publicist Raphael Lemkin Prize.

The film also presents the residents of modern Turkey - the Turks and Kurds who openly tell stories about the Armenian genocide heard from their parents and ancestors. In the film also speak the advanced Turkish intellectuals who are persecuted by the Turkish Government for telling the truth about the Armenian Genocide.

This documentary film, which is based on the historical facts, for the first time was shown on 17 April 2006 on the American PBC, and then, in many other channels and was awarded with “Emmy” Prize.

The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post and other American periodicals positively reacted to the film.

Famous Hollywood actors Orlando Bloom, Ed Harris, Laura Linney, Jared Leto, Julianna Margulies and Natalie Portman read the text of the film.

Before the exhibition of the film, the Educational Complex students were assigned to write an essay on "Armenian genocide".

Let’s honor the countries which recognized the Armenian Genocide, condemn the denial and demand from the world to recognize the Armenian Genocide since the only resolution of the genocides is its prevention.
