20 to 23 June 2017 - International Scientific and Practical Conference on the "Actual Problems of Interaction between Public and Police in Strengthening Law and Order" was held in the Police Educational Complex. 11 Representatives of police higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, Georgia, Ukraine, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the police officers from the Police Information Center, the Department of Public Relations and Information, the Department of Public Order Protection, representatives of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, the UNDP Human Rights Office in Armenia, the RoA National Academy of Sciences attended the conference.

The event stood out for its participants. The conference was attended by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Foat Zinurov, Head of the Kazan Law Institute of the MIA of the Russian Federation and Roman Blahuta, Rector of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs (Ukraine).

On the first day a meeting was held with the teaching staff of the RoA Police Educational Complex. On the morning of June 21, the guests arrived at the Educational Complex. The guests were welcomed by the management of the Educational Complex, headed by Lieutenant General Hovh. Varyan, Head of the RoA Police Educational Complex. Participants of the conference laid flowers at the memorial of the policemen who died during the Artsakh war, the protection of the Armenian borders and the performance of their duties, watched the performance of the Educational Complex students and toured in the area. Then the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Police Educational Complex of RoA and Lviv State University of Internal Affairs (Ukraine) was held, after which the opening ceremony of the International Scientific Practical Conference took place in the conference hall of the Educational Complex. Opening remarks were delivered by Lieutenant General Hovh. Varyan, Head of the Police Educational Complex. He addressed those present with the welcoming message and wishes on behalf of Colonel General Vladimir Gasparyan, Head of the Police of RօA. The conference was chaired by Colonel T. Yesayan, Deputy Head of the Police Educational Complex.

There were 13 reports presented during the conference which will be published in the 4^th issue of the scientific-methodical journal of the Educational Complex “Bulwark of Law”.

The closing ceremony of the conference was accompanied by an interesting festive concert and beautiful dance numbers. At the end of the conference the works were summed up, the participants were awarded diplomas and exchanged souvenirs. According to the order of Colonel General Vladimir Gasparyan, Head of the Police of RօA, Foat Zinurov and Roman Blahuta were awarded the medals for “Strengthening cooperation”. Emphasizing the importance of the conference and strengthening the further cooperation between the educational institutions, a thank you speech was made by Roman Blahuta. Other participants of the conference also expressed their gratitude.

In the framework of the event program, the guests laid flowers at the eternal fire of the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, got acquainted with the tragic episodes of the Armenian Genocide history. Then the guests visited Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory, Lake Sevan.
