Training manual for Police officers on “Preventing and combating violence against women and Domestic violence”
It was published the training material for police officers on “Preventing and combating violence against women and Domestic violence” organized by Council of Europe office in Armenia within the framework of the project on verification process of the Convention on Prevention and domestic violence in Armenia.
The handbook, initiated for the training of police officers, concerns to gender-based issues, legal contexts of police workers’ activities in the frames of domestic violence, victims’ security and protection, detection of risks, police evaluation, protection project, interinstitutional cooperation and other relevant issues.
Initiated for daily job, it provides basic knowledge on gender-based violation issues.
The co-authors of the handbook are PhD, professor of the department of Police Sciences of Saint Kliment Ohridski University, located in Bitola, North Macedonia and Trainer of the Academy of Justice, Human Rights and gender equality expert Anahit Abrahamyan.
The relevant Chairs of the Educational Complex of Police of RA will receive the Handbooks by European Council office in Armenia and general library, and the materials existing in the Handbook, will be included into training courses in the framework of relevant lessons.
